Final Fantasy 14, Yo-Kai Watch Crossover Announced Recently

Square Enix has announced a collaboration that will bring Yo-Kai Watch content to Final Fantasy XIV, and vice versa. As posted by Square Enix assistant director of community Matt Hilton on FFXIV’s official forums, thirteen new Yokai-inspired weapons will come to Final Fantasy XIV (one for each of XIV’s 13 jobs), as well as a new Whisper mount. Yo-Kai Watch-themed minions will also be available to collect. According to Square, “you’ll be able to earn all of the minions somewhat easily, but the weapons will be tough to get.” Swipe through the slideshow below to see the Yo-Kai inspired weapons: Final Fantasy-themed content is also headed to Yo-Kai Watch 3, which releases in Japan in July. As captured by Gematsu, Chocobo and Moogle-inspired fusions of Jibanyan named Chocobonyan and Mooglinyan will be among the new characters. We’ve reached out to Level-5 and Square Enix for confirmation on whether or not the collaborations will head West and will update this story with any comment we receive. So far, only one Yo-Kai Watch game has been released in the West. Check back frequently for more update of the game.
